H10 Palazzo Canova, hotel in Venice

H10 Palazzo Canova is located in Venice and features a terrace and a bar. This 4-star hotel offers free WiFi.

The hotel is centrally situated at the waterfront of the main Channel in Venice. It was easy to get to with a water taxi from the train terminal (15minutes away). The rooms were amazing and neat with ample space for two people and their luggage. Breakfast was well prepared and there is also a little "garden area" you can choose to sit in that makes it very cozy. The hotel was situated centrally allowing you to explore most of Venice on foot if you are up to it or a "bus" terminal just across the bridge if you want to make use of the water transportation system. the staff was exceptional throughout our stay and assisted with all information we required.

Definitely worth seeing but I don’t have a desire to go back...

Definitely worth seeing but I don’t have a desire to go back it was very busy when we went last week in April and I imagine will get a lot busier as summer comes, some of the streets are only just wide enough for two to pass, it’s the nature of the city with its numerous bridges but wheelchair users will not be able to visit most of the centre, I’m not used to so many people in what are quite confined spaces but you have to move slowly and be very forgiving, Doges palace is worth seeing and of the islands Burano was a nice way to calm down at the end of the holiday and of course as you walk through the centre there are lots a of interesting features to be picked out, my wife used a good book for this Glam Italia 101 fabulous things to do in Venice by Corina Cooke

    Bad weather spoiled the magic.

Bad weather spoiled the magic. Apart from that, Venice is an unique engineering wonder and major artworks display wherever you'd go. We've visited places we haven't seen before, so we only marginally touched on the San Marco's Basilica and the Doges' Palace. Ca' d'Oro, Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, Palazzo Grimani, and so on. Getting around Venice is reasonably convenient considering the given site limitations. The vaporetto's schedule is as reliable as any subway's. The rest of the central area can be covered easily by foot. The only thing we would avoid, next time, would be a bad weather forecast.

Travelled in April, was 21 degrees and not too busy.

Travelled in April, was 21 degrees and not too busy. We didn't book anything in terms of sites and found it easy to get into sites we wanted to e.g. Palazzo Ducale (think also call Doge's Palace) went first thing and waited 10 mins. As part of this you go over the bridge of sighs. When we got out the Tower did have a queue so we waited until later that day to go up tower as we ended up back there anyway. We found just walking around Venice was great - we went to see an old book shop and the narrowest street in Venice. We also went over the Accademia Bridge. We watched a lot of YouTube to see what we wanted. We got a bit distracted trying to find some eating places recommended but we ended up just eating where we felt hungry, didn't feel it was over expensive (compared to UK). On our second day we got the water bus to Burano and Murano. We loved Burano, just walking around and the houses and vibe was just great. Murano, obviously bought a vase and was great to see. We used the opportunity coming back since bought a day ticket for the water bus to just go on a bus round trip which was interesting. Last day just wandered and saw the Rialto Bridge. I did go to the Leonardo Da Vinci museum, it was really small and felt a bit overpriced. However if you have children there was some interactive things they could do. Also showed some of his inventions which was interesting but was only in there for about 15 mins. There are a lot of bridges (obviously), but didn't realise how many till got there. It has amazing architecture and a lovely place, just be prepared to walk loads and if coming from the airport the water bus there is different from the one's you take in Venice. We found the people really nice and it is always recommended to speak some of their language even to say Grazie.

Venice is just fabulous. It is odd, It is wonderful. We never had a bad meal. You get lost and find a fabulous view or square. There are dead ends you go down and go WOW!! No spoilers - but avoid the hot months when it is crowded and too hot ad can be smelly. We went at the end of April going into May and it was getting hot at the end and the crowds were building up. Just enjoy it and eat at or before 7.00,

I don’t recommend going to Venice if you’re a person of colour, especially black. Many locals treat you with disgust and blatantly ignore or refuse to help you. There are none stop dirty looks and frowning, some ignore you, some push you out of the way, loads refuse to help you with simple questions like directions, others refuse to sit next to you. Airport staff purposely make you late for flights. If you do visit learn some basic words so you can understand some things, like when they’re sniggering about you in the Uber. One Uber driver mocked me in the car on the phone. Won’t be going back again.

Venice is exciting, brimming with culture, and like no other cities, the prices are in general reasonable, and people are friendly and helpful. However, in order to have a good stay, you have to take the following into account: The city was crowded already in April. I would not go in the summer, and avoid the weekends for a shorter stay. It can be colder and more windy than you think. Bring some warm wind- and waterproof clothing, Be prepared to walk a lot, otherwise it is difficult to see the things you want to. We typically walked about 7 km a day. Even if there are some signs of directions, Venice is labyrinthine. I used google maps, a high resolution paper map and sometimes a compass, and even got lost a few times. However, it also meant we found a place with wonderful italian ice we returned to several times.

Front Desk staff were very helpful in recommending restaurants. The breakfast buffet in the morning and the service in the breakfast room were the best of the eight hotels we stayed at in Italy. The outside garden was lovely but it was too cold to use in late April. There were gondolas right outside the front door. The bathroom and room were very comfortable. The location is fabulous. Convenient St Mark's Square as well as the waterfront with all the vaporettos but tucked away from the crowds.

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOUTIQUE HOTEL, AND FOR FIRST TIME TRAVELORS TO VENICE IT WAS THE PERFECT LOCATION. IT IS IN THE HEART IF THE BEST PART OF VENICE, AND ALLOWS EASY ACCESS TO EVERYWHERE ELSE. THE ROOM IS BEAUTIFULLY SET UP, COSY, CLEANED DAILY, AND SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. WE HAD A SMALLER ROOM COMPARED TO OTHERS BUT IT WAS PERFECT FOR THE TWO OF US. This was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our Trip to Italy. You can't beat the location of Bauer Palazzo. The lobby is right in front of all the designer shopping in Venice but also in tucked away enough that the foot traffic isn't too heavy in front of the hotel. The hotel bar is right on the Grande Canal so we enjoyed having a cocktail out there before dinner. The room was very spacious (particularly for a hotel room in Italy). It is also a very short walk to St. Mark's Square.

This was one of our best accommodations on our Italy trip. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Venice tourism locales. Walking distance in minutes to the Rialto as well as St Marks sq. Most cafes and restaurants of repute within walking distance. The hosts communicated well. The apartment can best be described as elegant. There were cookies on the hall table and bedside tables which was a nice touch. Air-conditioning was vital in the humid Italian heat. Perfect for a family.

It was our first time to Italy and knowing that we needed to take not only a train to Venice but then also a water bus to the property, we had all kinds of questions for Kateryna before we arrived. She was very helpful in letting us know the best train to take from Milan, how to find the water bus, and which one to take. She met us at the docking area and escorted us to our apartment. It was more than we could ever have hoped for: clean, spacious and right on the water!

Our room was enormous! We were in the annex of the hotel because we booked the room only a few days in advance. The breakfast was the best one we had in Italy, The view from the balcony located in the dining room was beyond breathtaking. My husband and I had a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the Grand Canal. It was so emotionally moving, I began weeping at the majestic beauty of the canal. My husband in reaction, booked us another week in Venice.

Fantastic location. Flat, two-three minute walk from the Giglio ferry stop. Lift in hotel for luggage to our room. Breakfast was one of the better ones we have had on our extended Italy trip. Many amenities in room and snack upon arrival. We asked for a fan for the room which we received. First night to see sleep through the night on our trip. The piazza that hotel property opened onto has a restaurant, amazing church façade and cool glass shop.

The perfect place, I mean location, but see below "What didn't you like". It is just around ten minutes of walk to square of Saint Mark. A lot of cafeterias and restaurants around. "Coop" convenient store is nearby, around five minutes of walk, where you can buy almost everything you need. The warmest hotel I visited during my trip to Italy. The staff was wonderful. So helpful to this lady traveling alone, who had never been to Italy before. They were terrific. The location in Venice was ideal. The room was a little small to move around in, but had everything I could want and was very clean.

Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed in Italy (All of them have higher stars than this one) - this one is the best as they provide kettle, biscuits and tea bags. The bathroom is clean and new. The staff was very friendly too.

Beautiful entrance, neat furnishings. One of the few hotels in Italy to have a kettle and tea inside. Even issued slippers! They also cleaned much better the room than what I've generally witnessed in Italy.
